It was a wonderful morning in the meadow. The pretty white flower basked in content from the warmth of the sky. Its melodious sighs caught the attention of the brilliant fiery plumed phoenix perched above the apple tree nearby.
The bird sang back and the flower shyly sang more musical notes and together they sang in harmony, a beautiful symphony.
The earth, sky and meadow stood still listening to their serenade, each note rising with longing and hope for the other until it reached a frenzy of desire.
The phoenix took flight in search of his beauty and it landed him in the meadow where the flower peeked shyly. The beautiful bird stroked its dainty white petal softly and the flower fluttered demurely in response, the flames spread as they became engulfed in passionate love.
The fire spread, the meadow burned. Along with it, the flower and the bird.
The phoenix rose from the ashes only to mourn its lover, its lament unravelled a heart wrenching song and its tears watered the ashes till dawn.
At the fall of the first light, the phoenix watched in awe as the ashes bloomed and the new buds blossomed delicately to petals made of flames. Fire spread once again across the land enough to vie with the sun.
In a moment of shock, grief and horror, the phoenix spread its wings wide and covered the land and flames whole and in a final breath of its divine immortality, it gave up its soul.
It was twilight and the flames subsided, the meadow was covered in dark ashes. Flowers bloomed once again, this time in a myriad of red, orange, yellow and blue. The tiniest bud of all was a soft white blossom.
The earth sighed in peace and the ashes spread to the sky, the late white flower was reborn as a luminous and beautiful moon, patiently waiting for dawn to meet its eternal lover, the phoenix who merged with the sun.

Oh my! I’m left feeling as magical as the phoenix himself, having dissolved into this piece. Love it babe!
