Blossom before you bloom

On a bright summer afternoon, I felt a chill on the back of my neck and the weight of hopelessness on my back. So many things to accomplish, so little time. The question lingered in the air, am I doing enough?

I sighed.

I wish I had known, I wish I was wiser when I was younger.

I grounded myself and I remembered how someone told me that it might be a bad day but never a bad life.

My faith renewed.

For all the butterflies

Trapped in their cocoon

Nurse your cramped wings

And know your moment

will come soon

I cannot be set in my ways, I must flow with the wind and the world and move with as much grace as I can muster. On the days I falter and fall I must remember to get up and brush away the dirt and flow once more. Baby steps.

I must not chase for perfection.

I must blossom first before I bloom.
